Congratulations Jeremy – our Diocesan Chancellor – wonderful to see your service to our church and the community recognised.Mr Jeremy Johnson, KSM, of Auckland, for services to the Anglican Church and the LGBTQI+ community.
Jeremy Johnson is a lawyer, Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu, and former Chancellor of the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch. He has served as Deputy Legal Advisor to the New Zealand Church. He has been President of the Christ’s College Old Boys’ Association, where he established the College Tuis, a group for LGBTQI+ former students. He is a Fellow of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Mr Johnson was Chair of the New Zealand String Quartet Trust and is a Trustee of the Auckland Art Gallery Foundation. … See MoreSee Less

Sunday 27th April 2025 – The Reverend Alister Hendery is farewelled from the Parish of Greater Hastings with a service in St Matthew’s Church, after almost 7 & 1/2 year’s of ministry amongst us; he will soon take up the role of Acting Dean at Waiapu Cathedral, Napier.
